Auto Insurance

Shopping for auto insurance is almost identical to shopping for health insurance.  You must know everything and anything about the auto insurance you are about to buy.  One of the main things you want to first look at while auto insurance shopping is the amount you will be paying every month.  A good monthly payment should be in the ball-park of 50-80 dollars a month.  Depending on age and good driving records this person in the 25+ age group should be looking at a 55 dollar a month payment for a full coverage auto insurance policy.  Full coverage entails liability coverage, with comprehensive deductibles of 250 dollars and collision deductibles of 500.  This is a pretty basic auto insurance policy.  Based on how crazy you want to get with your auto insurance you can tweak the deductibles to be a little lower, but in doing so you will raise your monthly premium.  Another way to save on payments for your auto insurance would be to pay it semi-annually. You won’t save more than fifty dollars, but you also get the ease of being done with the payments for at least six months. Another important coverage that your auto insurance should include is rental car coverage.  If you are in need of a rental car while your car is in the shop, it would be nice to have auto insurance that covers the cost of being in a rental car.  You also want to be able to speak with a representative and make sure your claim gets handled quickly and properly.  Some auto insurance companies take up to a week to get a claim sent through.
